Data Collection
ESA uses NextGen Rodeo for all its event management needs. NextGen Rodeo is the premier western event software elevating the user experience all while enhancing data collection from winnings to complete performance data on your equine athlete. By doing so, we bring more value to you and your horse. Plus, NextGen is directly integrated with the major equine breed organizations allowing your horse data to follow them to their registered Association record.
What is ESA?
Equine Sports Alliance was created to support jackpot competitors and rodeo production companies. Our goal is to help elevate the amount of participation and collect quality performance data on equine competitors and their riders. In 2024, ESA will host a number of events in a series format. These events will have a combination of added and guaranteed money formats to increase the payout to competitors. In October, 2024 at the 4M Equine Ranch in Decatur, TX ESA will host The ESA Texas Finals of Barrel Racing.
How Do I Qualify?
All ESA members are eligible to enter the ESA Texas Finals. There are multiple ways to earn a qualification to the ESA Texas Finals. Please visit the ESA Texas Finals page to learn all the ways you can earn a qualification.

What are the benefits of purchasing an ESA membership?
First and foremost, ESA memberships have the exclusive ability to compete at ESA-produced events and ESA alliance events. Depending on the level of membership you purchase, you can also receive qualifications to the Finals, discounts on entry fees, complimentary subscription to the NextGen Rodeo app, and complimentary subscription to Jackpot Junkie. How Do I Qualify for the Finals?
There are several ways to qualify to the Finals. Barrel Racers can qualify by placing in the top 20 of any D at ESA-produced events or ESA alliance events, nominating at non-ESA events and landing in the money for any D, or by purchasing an Elite membership.
How Do I Nominate at Non-ESA Events
Nominating at non-ESA events is simple as 1,2,3.
